Pilotbyte Rentals is a drone and sensor equipment rental platform operated by DG Global Media LLC d/b/a Pilotbyte. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you create an account and rent equipment, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the third parties that process it on our behalf.

• Account details — your name, email address, phone number, and company name, provided when you sign up and manage your account.
• Shipping addresses — the addresses you enter so we can ship equipment to you and generate return labels.
• Booking & rental history — the equipment you reserve, rental dates, order status, and related records.
• Signed rental agreements — the rental agreement you sign in-app at checkout, retained as a record of the binding terms for each booking.
• Payment information — payments and refundable deposit holds are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number; Stripe processes card data directly and returns only limited references (such as a payment status) to us.

We use the information above to:

• create and authenticate your account;
• process rental requests, bookings, deposits, and refunds;
• ship equipment to you and track returns;
• send transactional email about your account, bookings, and rental agreements;
• maintain records of signed rental agreements and rental history; and
• monitor and debug errors to keep the platform secure and reliable.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers (subprocessors) that help us operate the platform, and only to the extent each needs it:

• Stripe — payment processing and refundable deposit holds.
• Shippo — shipping label generation and shipment tracking.
• Resend — delivery of transactional email.
• Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage.
• Vercel — application hosting.
• Sentry — error monitoring, with personal data scrubbed from reports.

We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect our legal rights.

We keep account information for as long as your account is active. Booking history and signed rental agreements are retained after a rental ends for as long as needed to meet our legal, tax, and dispute-resolution obligations. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it.

You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or request deletion of your account and associated data. To make a request, email us at support@pilotbyte.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting, and some records (such as signed rental agreements) may be retained where we are legally required to keep them.

We use only essential cookies needed to keep you signed in (your authentication session). We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
