Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Pilotbyte Rentals platform to browse equipment, create an account, and request rentals. They are a summary written in plain language.

The binding contract for any rental is the rental agreement you sign in-app at checkout. That signed agreement controls if anything here conflicts with it.

You must provide accurate account information and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.

• Deposits. A refundable deposit is held on your payment method through Stripe when you rent. The hold is released after the equipment is returned and inspected, subject to the terms below.
• Damage. You are responsible for loss of, or damage to, rented equipment while it is in your possession beyond normal wear. Repair or replacement costs may be deducted from your deposit or charged to your payment method.
• Liability. You are responsible for your use of the equipment and for any damage or injury arising from that use. The full allocation of liability is set out in the rental agreement you sign at checkout.

Handle all equipment with reasonable care and follow the manufacturer’s instructions. Return equipment by the end of your rental period using the provided shipping materials and return label. Late returns may incur additional charges as described in your rental agreement.

You are solely responsible for operating rented drones and sensors in compliance with all applicable Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and any other federal, state, and local laws. This includes holding any required certifications, registering aircraft where required, and respecting airspace restrictions. You must not operate the equipment in any unlawful or unsafe manner.

We arrange shipping and return labels through our shipping provider. Risk of loss for equipment passes to you upon delivery and remains with you until the equipment is received back by us.

The platform is provided on an “as is” basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. We may update these terms from time to time; continued use of the platform after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
